Daily Prayer for Busy Moms
It took me up until a few months ago to get into a routine of praying throughout the day. Praying in the morning before my feet touch the floor, praying as the day goes on, praying before bed. Asking for forgiveness of my sins.
This can be overwhelming if you’re not already including prayer in your daily routine. I think it’s important to know that God will meet you where you are. He knows your heart, and knows your mind and knows everything about you - including the fact that you have a crazy busy schedule as a mama! It’s important to also know, God is the only way you’re going to stay strong, fierce, joyful, and empowered as you mother your children! There are so many moving parts to our days as a mom and it starts the moment our eyes open each day.
Introducing prayer into your daily routine - just talking to God throughout your day - will change your heart, change your thoughts and impact your life in such a powerful way that you will feel stronger, more organized, and ready to conquer any challenge.
When I invited God into my heart, I started to really want a daily relationship with Him. That’s what He wants for us too. So I started talking to Him like I talk to a friend.
Anytime I have anxiety. Anytime I’m scared. Anytime I’m happy. Anytime I’m lonely. Anytime I’m frustrated. Anytime I’m disappointed with myself or others. Really - anytime I just bring it all to Him.
He is the only one who can truly carry our burdens and He wants to. He will guide you through the Holy Spirit. He will give you the peace you need. He will bring you direction.
Don’t turn to society, Google, friends, etc. for advice. Turn to Him. He has all the answers you need! I encourage you today, Mama to find time for that daily talk with the Lord. Let him come into your heart and be in charge of your day and thoughts!
There are so many resources I’ve used to learn more about prayer, but one book that changed how I did things was Life Management for Busy Moms by Elizabeth George. She has practical advice, backed Biblically for why prayer, time in the Word and time with God is so important in our lives!
