Meal Prep Tips
Over thinking, can cause us to be stuck. I have managed to simplify meal prep, and it makes a world of difference! Even cooking a more simple dinner can help. You don’t need to have a five course gourmet meal on the table every night!!!
Here are some simple tips to kickstart your meal prep journey :
1. Prep all your produce. This will really help you save time and have no excuses for no veggies and a meal. Prepping all of your produce, including all of your fruit pre-cutting everything and making sure it’s all ready to go into a stirfry, the oven or a smoothie is ideal. You want to eat it and if it’s cut up and prepared for you, it’s more likely that you will.
2. Make a big batch of protein. This will save time and energy when you’re not sure what to eat or you don’t feel like cooking either dinner or lunch. Grab and go protein is a huge advantage in your fridge!
3. Prep overnight oats or Chia seed pudding to grab as easy breakfast or snack items. These are simple, quick recipes that are filling and good for you! I have tons of resources on my blog at emilyparkins.com
4. Make a banana bread or a banana muffin or some type of muffin or bread in the beginning of the week for everyone to snack on! My go to banana, bread and banana muffins do not have a ton of sugar. They are made with really good ingredients and they are super simple and quick. I usually make them in a 15 minute break from work or at night when everybody’s winding down. They are easy to clean up and just so good and everybody loves it. You can find a recipe on my blog!
I hope these tips help you and I hope you can simplify your meal prep and food routines as well! What are your favorite things to meal prep?!
