Yearly Appointments You Shouldn’t Miss
It’s been quite the year+ and I have really pushed my needs to the side for the sake of time. It seemed almost impossible to get to any doctor’s appointments the past year, and the past few months I’ve just made excuses for why I can’t get there. I’ve neglected my health, my mind, and my body and it’s time I check myself before it’s too late.
I have since, made a list of appointments that I need to go to every year, that are non-negotiables. These appointments need to be made and attended and are just as important as eating dinner every single night. The well-being of my mental and physical health depend on it!
Physical Exam: This is important because you get your yearly blood tests for this appointment. A complete metabolic lab, and complete blood cell count are two important tests that tell your Doctor what is going on with your body! This is a way for your Doctor to determine early intervention or prevention for any diseases you are at-risk for!
GYN: An annual pap test and breast exam is important in preventing diseases and treating them early, if found!
Dental Visits: Going to the dentist helps prevent all types of diseases, and unnecessary/preventable procedures. Keeping your teeth healthy leads to healthy blood and a healthy heart! Dentist appointments are also important for maintaining good breath!
Dermatologist: Getting a body scan each year is a preventable and easy appointment to make sure you have no dangerous spots on your skin!
Eye Doctor: It is important to go to the eye doctor to make sure your eyes are not straining. Straining your eyes can lead to dizziness, fatigue, headaches, and more. It is also important for your Doctor to see your retina and the health of your eye!
