Protein Sourdough Bagels

This afternoon I spent hours in the kitchen with my girls. While my youngest slept and my 5 year old entertained himself - my 2 year old and I were busy baking and cooking for the week! One of the recipes we made was a protein sourdough bagel! The protein comes from the greek yogurt. These were so fluffy. I love the use of sourdough starter in this recipe too. It makes the bagels have a real bagel taste as well as makes them rise more. Just SO GOOD!

This recipe is super simple. And so good.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 Cup Greek Yogurt
1 Cup Sourdough Starter
2 Cups Unbleached Flour
(The protein comes from the yogurt.)

Directions:

  • Mix everything together and put on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • After the bagels are shaped brush them with egg whites and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.

  • Bake at 400 for about a half hour.
